Common Questions

Insurance FAQ

The best way is to call us directly at (813) 284-7903 with your insurance card in hand. Our front desk team will verify your coverage before your first visit so there are no surprises. You can also check with your insurance provider using our National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
Yes. We accept Original Medicare (Parts A and B) as well as most Medicare Advantage plans including Humana, CarePlus, and United Healthcare Medicare Advantage. If you have a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan, we accept most of those as well. Call to confirm your specific plan.
Please bring your insurance card, a valid photo ID, a list of all current medications and dosages, and any recent lab results or specialist notes relevant to your visit. If you have a referral from another physician, bring that as well. Arrive 15 minutes early to complete new patient intake paperwork.
Copay amounts vary by insurance plan and the type of visit (preventive vs. diagnostic). Many annual wellness exams are covered at 100% under Medicare and most private plans, meaning no copay. For other visit types, your plan's EOB (Explanation of Benefits) will outline your cost-sharing. We'll always discuss costs transparently before treatment.
Yes. Lab work ordered by your physician and completed in our on-site laboratory is billed to your insurance directly. Most plans cover medically necessary lab tests, though deductibles and copays may apply depending on your specific coverage. We'll notify you in advance if any lab test is likely to be out-of-pocket.
